How can I make hooded eyes less noticeable without a ton of eyeshadow?

I have hooded eyes and they make me sad, but I hate wearing heavy eyeshadow.. :(

Well I think that it looks good in your pictures, my favorite look on you is the one in your profile picture, the winged eyeliner and the smokey eyes =]
