I saw your comment on my profile about your concerns with birth control. I have been on nuva for a little over a year. No problems. But I don't smoke and never have and don't have any of the family history you have really. If you're really concerned I would recommend you visit your doctor again and express your concerns to them or see another doctor for a second opinion.
