Such dry skin!

So about two months ago, I embarked on my healthy lifestyle change. I pretty much ditched sodas and sugary drinks and have had nothing but water, with the occasional flavored Vitamin water. All weekend from Friday - Monday I didn't have a lot of energy, didn't want to work out, etc. By Monday night I started to realize that I hadn't drank any more than maybe 1 glass of water in those 4 days. I am used to having huge amounts of water all day every day. I think this was a shock to my system because now I am noticing that my skin is so so dry. Around the underpart of my eyes, my cheeks, and even my eyelids are flaking they are so dry. This has never been a problem to me before and I am thinking it's because of the lack of water intake. I am slowly trying to hydrate my system again and drinking my normal amount of water, but has anyone else gone through this? How much longer will the dryness last do you think? I haven't been able to wear any makeup at all because it just flakes off. I have also been moisturizing my skin as well, especially around the patchy parts, but not sure what to do about the eyelids! It looks so bad!
