So I had real..waist length hair...and I impulsively cut it all off. CHIN LENGTH. Yes, I'm very much in the deepest depths of regret. I'm going to get extensions because..I cant live like this -_- haha but what are you guys' opinions on the best/least damaging type of professional hair extensions? I heard taping was but it lasts 4-6 weeks..Opinions/experiences?

I did the same thing when I was younger and it took forever for me to grow it out. Right now it's a bit past my shoulders. I have tried many different types of hair extensions. I'd say that the best kind are clip in because they cause the least damage. Hair extensions can be extremely damaging because they pull you hair out at the roots.. it's inevitable. But with clip in extensions you can take them out and give your hair a break. Anddd you can reuse them. Hair extensions can be very expensive and most other methods ( hair tape & hot fusion) you can not reuse.
I had hair tape extensions and they started falling out within the first week. I've also had hot fusion and they lasted over four months. They ripped a lot of my hair out and they got quite annoying because you have to be ever so careful when you brush and wash your hair. You can't run the brush against your head (which can get really irritating after a while) and they can be difficult to hide, Especially when you put your hair up or when they start to grow out. They are about $1 per strand and you need over 200 strands for your entire head. So that's $200 if you do it your self, but much more if you go to a salon. For that price you can get a complete set of clip ins that you can use over and over and over .where as most other methods only last around 4 months at best.
sorry for the extremely long post I just thought I'd share my experience. hope it helped

I would def recommend clip in extensions. I have really thick hair and it is an inch past my shoulder. I had my friend trim and thin out my hair and I had extensions beaded in. I left me beads in for a total of 2 weeks. They were constantly giving me headaches, I didn't feel that my hair was as clean, especially by the scalp, and I noticed when a couple fell out it took chunks of my hair out. When I got my extensions taken out my hair felt so gross... plus I lost alot of my hair. I am going back to clip in extensions

I`ve had clip ins for years and I must say they`re not the best solution for me.... Yes, they might not damage hair, but my problem was.... I didn`t use them as I felt it was too much to put them on every morning and take them off in the evening. I also didn`t feel secured with them, because in most of them the clips were quite big and easily visible. So I started using micro ring/loop extensions. I love them and they were cheap - sthing about 20 dollars( I`ve bought from Ebay and some hair web stores). my friend helps me putting them on and i help her back. we check and service them at least 2 times a month and order new ones if hair starts to look bad. I don`t think these have damaged my natural hair at all.

I've been doing clip in extensions for a while now and their the best. They dont damage the hair as much. The trick with clip in extensions is that u have to know how to wear them. I personally can tell a girl thats wearing them from distance, because most of em dont really know how to wear them. Also a MAJOR factor is their thickness and quality of the hair. 100% human remy hair is the best. I own a pack of luxy hair extensions and their amaizing! Even after a year they are still thick and hold curls like a dream. The clips are another concern, but like everything you should search for reviews and info on yt and on google and see what works for u! <3

For your hair texture I think clip ins would be best. You can actually make them yourself very easily. The only thing is please please PLEASE use the best quality HUMAN hair you can find. If you can get your hands on some virgin unprocessed hair, that would be ideal. When taken care of properly they can last a year or better. Also be sure to take into account your hair texture when picking your hair out. Indian hair is an option, but also check out Brazilian, Mongolian, Malaysian etc. Not everyone is a perfect match for indian hair texture wise. Good luck!
