I have thick shoulder length layered hair. My natural hair is wavy.. I straighten my hair once a week and it always feels so dry and brittle. What are some inexpensive ways to repair it?

Use Moroccan oil, or John freida has a finishing cream that is much more affordable and works like a charm!

Omg same here! I've found that morrocan argon oil shampoo and conditioner makes the dry and brittle texture softer! Also you can use any oil for dry hair, sold at drugstores :)

Use mousse from herbal essences, it's inexpensive and makes your hair defined curls, tames the mane for me! I have the same hair as you :) use leave in conditioners like Paul Mitchell if you want to treat your hair.

Cosmetology school salons are cheap, I get deep condition treatments there for only $10 and I feel like I have someone else's hair afterwards because it's so soft!!

Moroccan oil works great! also, if your hair is really frizzy, get a dryer sheet and smooth your hair out with that. it will take the frizz out! :) hope this helped.

My hair is the same, and I have tried SO many different products & things. Moroccan oil helped me detangle my hair but did very little in terms of de-frizzing.
Take good care of your hair. Use less heat, and train your hair so you only have to wash it once or twice a week. Do a clarifying wash or rinse once a month, and follow up with a deep conditioning hair mask. There are plenty of DIY alternatives out there that are better for your hair.
Use a natural shampoo & conditioner (you can find it online, at a health food store, or make your own). The fewer chemicals the better.
Before you wash your hair, apply coconut oil and leave for 30 minutes. Then when you shower, shampoo & condition as your normally would, getting rid of all the residue.
An anti-frizz serum can help seal your hair cuticles & smooth it down.
And finally, embrace messy hair! Beachy hair is a trend now, and you can get it without even trying ;) So just go with it!

Try pro naturals moroccan argan oil which reduces the frizz and keeps my hair soft, shiny and healthy.
