So I know for different skin tones, you need to have different undertones for your make up. Or when you go to pick up a red lipstick, the shade that will look best depends on your tone. How do I know what types of colors go best with my skin tones?
Thanks XD

blue based colors look amazing on cool skin tones,
I also think dark, smokey eyes look lovely.

I actually don't follow that rule at all for most makeup. I just base the foundation and contour colour on the person's warm or cool tone (some contouring colours can look like a bruise otherwise). I have a VERY warm skin tone and I wear cool and warm colours. I just try not to wear cool eyeshadow, blush and lipstick together because I feel it can look kind of dated. I always wear at least one warm or one cool item.
