I have been reading online about all of the 'other' uses of Vic vapor rub besides for stuffed up noses. Anyone use it for something out of the ordinary??

I have heard it is good for icky toe nails, and that it cures coughs by rubbing it on the soles of your feet. I can't stand the smell so I haven't gone near the stuff.

I had really bad asthma when I was younger and my grandmother used to rub Vicks all over my chest every night! She swore it would help. Old wives tale? Maybe!

Its good for clearing up pimples. I just dab in it on a while before I go to bed, for a couple of nights and it works.

For bruises if you know a bruise is coming on slap some VVR on it.. No bruise. Also great for black eye. You have to keep your eyes shut until the eucalyptus goes away. Had a deviated septum put some on after surgery & no black eyes! My Aunt swears by using it on eczema and scalp to!

Cole, have you used arnica gel, its a herbal gel to treat bruises and works very well minus the lovely smell from VVR :) I use it on my kid a lot, somehow she inherited the klutz gene from her dad lol.
