Hi, do any of you gals have hair extensions? Are they any good? Do they look natural?
I have very thin hair and the length was always either to chin or a little past the shoulders, though the latter looks awful, which is why I put it into a clasp. Leaving it open looks just pathetic, because it's as if I don't have enough hair. That's mostly the point when I cut it down to chin length again.
I really want to have longer and fuller hair, but I'm unsure if hair extensions are the answer. I want my hair to look natural. How often do you have to redo hair extensions? Can they be seen?
I'ld be very thankful for suggestions.
Cheers

Glue or tape extensions takes about 1 month before it shall be redone, unless you shower less than 3 times a week, I'm starting to use dry shampoo so mine can last longer. Sewed is about two months if I remember correctly (it's been 4 years since I had them sewed in) extensions can be used in thin hair some people mainly do it because of thin hair, I would recommend you using tape or glue (tape mostly cos some can be allergic to glue) because then it will be invisible for others that you use extensions :)

Hi miffi, for your type of hair I would definitely recommend clip in extensions. Since you said you're hair is very thin and from what I see in the pic, pretty short, I wouldn't put anything in it to thin it out more bc the other kind of extensions can be very damaging. If I were you I would do some research on different brands for clip ins and see what would suits you best. If you do choose clip ins though, make sure the ones you buy have a really good and secure clip bc since your hair is thin it needs to really clasp onto it. You might even need to just give it a quick tease before you clip them in. Sounds like work, but trust me, in the long run, you'll be happy you didn't damage your hair! Hope this helped! Xo

I recomment hot or cold fusion. One of my friends have that and she loves it! Also its the best for short hair. But I suggest you google it and read as much as you can about the different kinds.
I have had mine braided and sewn in. I also have thin hair, but my hair was longer than yours. So that's why I think fusion would be better for you as that gives the best result. Also, I was not happy with my sewed in hair. When I took it out my hair was really disgusting.
Hope that helps!

You should get clip in extensions, just get them layered :). I have pretty fine hair also (I'm wearing extensions in my profile picture!) and I really like clip ins. you could also try the halo hair extension, which I also have. you could go into a local salon that can help blend it in for you :D.

Maybe look into the microring extensions. they are easily put in and stay in a whilee. alsoooo... they allow your hair to grow still even where they are placed.

Honestly, from experience I have found that clip ins are the least hassle, tape ins seem to be good also. I've seen some messes with fusion and glue in/bonded extensions. Not fun to deal with for sure.

I would let yours grow more before getting extenstions unless you can straighten it very straight as if its abit wavy you can see extenstions easier when your have short hair. Fusion ,glue, and clips youd be able to see if your hair is thin if your desperate for extenstions see what your hair dress' says X.
