A good thing you can try is to go to a local drugstore and buy some spoolies. Once you put your mascara on take the spoolie and am run it through your already coated lashes. It will help make them look bigger and a lot less clumpy:) hope this works for you!! :)

Use a toothbrush instead of an eyelash brush.

Use a drier formula and scrape off the brush (in the tube) to get rid of excess product, then wiggle the wand at the base of your lashes working your way up, then don't apply much pressure and brush out your lashes.

Instead of putting my mascara on the underside (closer to eyeball) I put it on the upper side and it never clumps, then I alternate upper and lower sides until I like it. I also do 2 layers with 2 different kinds of mascara.

Another great tip is to USE A TOOTHBRUSH! Because if you don't have a eyelash brush or anything to separate them, a toothbrush can do just that! And you can just rinse it after!

Have you ever tried Covergirl's Clump Crusher? It's so hyped but it's so worth it! I swear by the waterproof formula! :)

I have the colossal volume express too! Usually I just run the comb side of my eyebrow comb and then dab/swipe them with my fingertips and it gets rid of all the clumps! :)
