Are you supposed to use lip liner when you wear lipstick? How do you choose the color of the lip liner? do you need a lip liner for every color of lipstick? Sorry for all the questions, I don't know anything about lipstick!

It depends on the shade liner should always be a little darker.

Liner helps keep the lipstick from running off your lips and getting all over your face lol.

You don't always have to match the color of your lipstick, darker is always best for everyday looks but I think reds & browns are pretty popular and suit a lot of tones.

It depends what you want it for. Some people use it to contour and highlight/ make their lips look bigger. The most common reason is to keep your lipstick from feathering and fading and running off your lips. You can get the basic colors (a light pink a nude and a red) or you can just get a clear lip liner! I love the one from Mary Kay, it keeps my lip stick on all day.

I think it depends on how you want to apply your lipstick and how your lips take to the color. Apparently most people have trouble with their red lipstick feathering, but I've never had that issue, lol. I do use it on occasion when I wear bright reds or dark plums all day so it fades less, but I find a lip primer (I have a two in one lip/eye primer that's awesome) also works just as well. I just use an angle brush to outline my lips and then fill it in. Also, applying lipstick with a brush helps it to stay longer and not run anywhere :)

1. I think you should but you don't have to
2. Choose one that matches the lipstick you're going to wear.
3. No, unless they're completely different colours (e.g.: a nude, a hot pink, and a red would all need different liners.)

It helps mine to stay in place all day, but I also use it to fill in my lips before lipstick because if it fades you won't have a spot with no lipstick.:P.
