The easiest, quickest and in my opinion best way to do a smokey eye
1- apply an eyeliner in the colour of your choice all over your lid and stop at the crease
2- with a dark eyeshadow and a fluffy blending brush apply some shadow in your crease and blend.
3- set the eyeliner with a eyeshadow on your lid
4- line underneath your eyes and your waterline if you want to
5- apply mascara. done.

My favorite is packing black shadow all over the lids, black liner in the lower waterline and then blending everything out with a warm brown shadow and adding flirty lashes. It's truly fool proof, looks amazing and takes less than 10 minutes.

A tip that helped me was to have a light brown color eyeshadow like one that matches your skin it will be the color you use to blend out any harsh lines or if its too dark it will help lighten it. Also have a regular brown and a really dark brown or black if you have all of these different shadows it will help give the eyes lots of dimension rather than just one smoked out color. And remember to contrast the inner half of the eye from the outer half of the eye
