Currently, I have been using a bb cream instead of a regular foundation because it is so hot right now and I wanted a lighter feel!

Does it give you good coverage when you use it alone?

Depends on your skin type and how much coverage you want

Well my skin is normal, although my nose tends to get quite oily.

I might just try the bb cream as a primer, although I'm quite liking nivea express hydrating primer at the mo, it leaves my skin feeling so soft and my makeup stands out a lot more.

Ok well I would suggest a three step skin care consisting of cleanse, tone and moisturise. Then primer (optional) I would suggest porefessional by benefit or primed and poreless by too faced. Smash box also have good primers. If you have a primer you like already then keep that. What foundation are you using and powder?

Thanks for the advice :) I'm using mac studio fix fluid and mac mineralize skin finish powder. I sometimes use studio fix powder just to give it more of an even look. I don't know why but I never satisfied with my foundation look..

Maybe change foundations, I know a few people who have said that particular foundation has just oxidised on them and that it doesn't work well with their skin at all. Maybe try another from mac or even look into Estée Lauder double wear, it has great coverage
