If you could answer a couple questions, I'm writing a paper on how plus size modeling is changing the fashion industry.
1. What do you think about size 6 being now considered as plus size?
2. Do you think we'll be seeing more plus sized models on magazine covers?
3. anything else you have to say.
I really am into this topic and would love to hear what you girls think. Thanks so much! I really appreciate it. I can always count on my beautylish fam :)

My ten year old son models and even in that age group I've seen young girls turned away because of their weight by casting directors. So it definitely starts young. I heard one casting director tell this one woman(who was to play the "mom" for a photo shot for a major account) that she has the height but needed to lose the weight. I looked at him like he was on crack. I thought she looked great. Later when the ad campaign was released and I saw the final look I was disgusted. The play mom look like she had a serious coke addiction....bone rail thin. Personally, until the designers actually design for REAL women it may be awhile before we see plus size women on magazine covers, at least on a consistant basis. As far as size 6 being considered as plus size. Utter nonsense considering I know athletes in my sport who are void of pratically any fat and they wear a size 6!!! I'm talking about gals in the fitness industry as figure and bikini competitiors. When I was doing figure, which is a step below body builder I was a size 8 and body fat, if my memory serves me right, was at 3% percent. I was all muscle. So hear that a size 6 is now considered plus size is downright scary because there is going to be a few young women (and men) who will see themselves as overweight.
If you reside in Los Angeles I would try and speak with a modeling agency who has a plus size division and ask what their thoughts are in regards to this hot topic.
