So about a week ago I dyed my hair from dark brown to this color, how do I go about getting the red tone color out of it to turn it into a light blond?

Good luck. It's going to take a few times bleaching. Even at the salon I work at, we recommend highlights to start with so you don't have funky colors. Especially if you used a box dye.

Red is easy to fade but hard to get out.

If you're just doing a box dye, be sure to get the cool tone version. The box might look weird, but the hair color will be closer to what you actually want.
