Keeping split ends cut off keeps the hair healthy and healthy hair grows best. but getting your hair trimmed isn't going to make it grow faster. not getting it trimmed will just make it grow slower.

Yes the only way to get rid of them is cut them! Yes they should get a little growth boost but no product will fix the dead ends.

NO first use a hairmask it will give the split ends strength & cover the damage even if they are high up ,I tried it myself works great!! I buy my hairmask at sallys called silk elements &&& last if their is any split ends trim then off.

They'll never go away unless you cut them. I know you want to keep your long hair, so even trimming it a 1/4 in. will make a differwnce.

Go for some really long layers to help get some more split ends off without take off more length. Also a repairing mask after to maintain. That's what I tell all my clients when they don't want to cut much off.
