Everyone is always talkibg about a primer what is it for? Do you really need it? If so which one is good? Thank you  :-)

Eyelid primer lets your eyeshadow stay longer, and face primer lets your foundation stay longer and it creates a smooth look before foundation.

Primer is very important in makeup. it smoothes your skins surface and evens out the hydration so you don't have uneven spots after applying makeup. it also helps the makeup last a bit longer. my fave is smashbox photo finish. if you can't afford anything, I'd suggest moisturizing before applying your makeup. it has similar benefits. another tip is to gently exfoliate weekly to keep skins surface smooth for makeup :) hope this helps.

Primer is my new favorite cosmetic staple. I'm absolutely addicted to it, both eye and face. I have a lot of success with the eye shadow primers by urban decay. They work the best for me, maybe they will for you! If not, try Too Faced or Smashbox. I really love the NARS and Smashbox foundation primers. There are different primers for different skin types! Also, if you have large pores, try Porefessional. It's also absolutely wonderful! (:
