@Patricia...what is so odd about a man who is into to cosmetics? Mind you my hubby is a cosmetic chemist who makes it his business to know about what is going on in his industry. A large portion of the manunfacturing/chemistry side of it is run by men. So yes...my husband has no problem in stepping foot into MAC and swatching product on himself and telling me what's worthy to buy and not to buy. There is nothing odd about it at all. So your little comment about it being a "bit odd"...and then in the same breath say no judgement...I'm taking offense to that.

Shelley you are so lucky to have a husband that takes the time to let you know what is good or not on the market. I think that is truly awesome and I think that information is important in the beauty world and some people may not understand that its a mega plus.I want him to make an account on BL ;-)

@Alma...funny you mention that as I've been bugging him for the longest to start a profile on here but he's so busy traveling that I have hard time getting him to answer my emails.lol. I want him to write a tell-all book about the industry to dispel certain cosmetic myths but with his contract obligations its not allowed...maybe when he retires from the business. I feel truly blessed because he has taught me so much.

@Ciara...thank ya girl. It definitely does make us tighter. Just had go on correction mode as its not the first time he has been judged. Even if he wasn't a chemist his interest in it shouldn't be defined as odd.

Ok wait nobody said he was a cosmetic chemist until after the fact. Now I understand and I can see how he would know about makeup. Lets be honest the only men that know of makeup are the ones that wear it and enjoy as much as we do.

Patricia...that is such a wrong assessment to make. I'm a grease monkey...I love working on my car...I can drop an engine and rebuild them. My point being that people have interests that may not fit what society deems as correct based on a person's sex. And for you to say that the only men that know of makeup are the one's that wear it is flat out wrong and narrow-minded. I know quite a few heterosexual men who are married that are professional makeup artists. One of my good friends is actually a talented nail artists who consults for a major makeup line. He doesn't wear makeup or nail polish...married with a wife and a baby. :(
