So at the suggestion of my local Sally's saleslady today; I picked up the Ion Brilliance in a 9N and a 20v developer.

Anyone know if this will work out okay and actually be blonde?

(Reading the shade review on the Sally's site has me a little worried; as some have mentioned it coming out as varying shades of brown. Of course I do not know what color hair these people had at the time of dye nor do I know if they even did it correctly...but still; blonde is a new color for me and I'm a little paranoid!)

I was going to try it tomorrow but have a family wedding this weekend and am not taking the chance on it turning out wrong before such a big event.

Attached a picture of my current hair again just to be safe. Thanks again (I know I'm probably being a pain)! :)

Yeah I think so maybe a 30v developer would be better because the more volume the lighter generally.

Your hair already looks like a level 9 or 10 so the N will jut make the hair a more neutral/natural tone rather than ashy/violet/platinum blonde. 20v should be fine, you won't need much more lift than that. Hope that helps :)

Thanks Erin :) I wasn't sure what level I was nor did I know how to tell!!; I haven't been blonde since childhood (and that was natural) so I'm a total noob as far as caring for/maintaining/changing it!
