Can you really use Crisco as a skin moisturizer? If so, will it work on your face if you have sensitive skin?

Did you read the recent article on here? They author said she was worried it would clog her pores but said instead it left her skin very soft and miniaturized :)

Personally I wouldn't use it on my face. It has trans fats which are really bad if you eat so I don't know how great they could be for your skin lol. You might break out. If you have sensitive skin you could try almond oil or olive oil.

YES, YOU CAN!! But make sure you use the all vegetable one, not the butter-flavored one! It's soy-based and has palm oil and citrus. This is an old beauty standard tip - but I never tried it until last night after I read several folks saying it works just as well, if not better, than Creme de Mer (which costs over $1600!!) Nurses recommend Crisco for eczema. Nighttime moisturizer is usually the last thing I put on my face at night, so instead of my usual product I grabbed my Crisco and put a few dabs here and there and worked it Yes, it did make my skin soft! I put it on again this morning before applying my foundation, as well.
