Hi ladies!
For the past few months I have been getting awful breakouts on my chin, upper lip & around my nose. I know a lot has to do with stress & hormones, but I've literally tried everything to eliminate these unsightly imperfections. What works for you ladies?? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! 💗

I swear by La Roche Posay Effeclar. It won't clear spots overnight but it does work really well long term to reduce redness, swelling and I also find it prevents any severe breakouts.

I also like la roche posay effaclar duo (I have none at the moment though) and using tea tree oil works great too. I have three bad pimples on my jaw and lower cheek so I used vichy normaderm cleansing gel and applied some tea tree oil directly on them with a cotton bud. I'll put moisturiser on in an hour or so to give it time to soak into the breakouts.

I highly recommend a clarisonic if you don't already have one. It was like a miracle for my acne.

I'm still figuring it out because I only recently started breaking out. But I found that a sulphur face wash works for me, as well as Garnier 3 in 1 clay scrub with salicylic acid. Effaclar spot treatment doesn't really work for me but I'll give it a second chance:)
Also a glycolic treatment helps with resurfacing the damaged parts of my skin but I haven't figured out the perfect regime for me yet. :)

I had the same issue! But yes, you are very much correct with the stress and hormones & pimples around the nose, can also mean blood pressure as well as stress. When I was breaking out in these areas, I didn't use spot treatments. I do put tea tree oil, but medications tend to break me out more, I don't know why/: anywho. Instead, I worked out more, & tried to balance things out so my stress levels calmed down. (Working out does the biggest wonders haha) I gave up caffeinated drinks like espresso (I work at Starbucks, it was an everyday thing lol) and a much healthier form of caffeine: green tea! Teas are my best friends haha green tea, and ginger during the day, chamomile during the night, it really helps calm me down. I changed my diet around a little. I drink smoothies (mixed berries, spinach, a banana, ice and water) & with all the antioxidants in them, it really helps the face, especially berries. So with all of this, it helps balance not only the stress part of the breakout, but also the hormones!:) I've been clear for months since I did these changes, I pray they help out! 💗

I always go natural first because I have sensitive skin and also because I had a bad experience using proactive :(
I like to use unflavoured yoghurt, it cleans my skin, gets rid of acne and scars leaving me with glowing skin

I agree with Amber - I've found that incorporating a scrub brush (whatever brand you select) has made a HUGE improvement in the condition of my skin. Really, it almost doesn't even matter what cleanser you're using; the scrub brush does a great job of getting deep down into your pores. Also, drink lots of water, exercise (sweat it good!), and STOP TOUCHING YOUR FACE if you do that! Our hands are incredibly dirty, and that may be contributing to your breakouts.
