Has anyone ever tried either of these 2 and got cystic acne on your cheeks?! I feel like both of them cause the same problem for me. I used bare minerals before but the mica in the mineral make up cause more painful cystic acne then the bb creams. The bb creams have both been causing red, painful, cystic breakouts on my cheeks and lower cheek area. Has this happened to anyone and have they switched to something different? I did not change anything in my skin care routine except these 2 bb creams which caused my breakouts. Please help!!

I tried them both n no problems for me... are you sure its the things you put on your face thats causing the acne? there are multiple factors when it comes to acne including where you live, your diet, and other things that may come in contact with your face including your hands, pillowcase and anything else that might be touching your face... also hormones play a role as well if you notice you get bad breakouts once a month - have you seen your dermatologist lately? otherwise if makeup is the culprit then just stop wearing the makeup that's causing it altogether - clogging your pores usually causes cystic acne and if you aren't letting your skin breathe then that could be the issue there - otherwise you should try the clinique bb cream and/or their acne solutions foundation and concealer they do contain salicylic acid tho if you are sensitive to it.

I eat healthy and drink tons of water. My skin was amazing before but then all of a sudden when I went on my bb kick my skin just got worse. I get them all the time, not even once a month lol I am on birth control and rarely never get my period so I don't know if it has to do with pcos or something else. But I have been on my birth control for a couple of years now and it never caused breakouts like this. I used bare minerals before but it caused cystic pimples that were flesh colored and under the skin, these creams cause red ones that are painful and above the skin which is weird.

When I stopped with bare minerals and gave my skin a break the big pimples were going away but then I just felt like I needed to wear make up when I went out in public just to get me an even look

Change your pillowcase more frequently. Try flipping it and then changing it every 2 days. I've never had a problem with Dr Jart. These days I'm using Skin79 Intense Classic BB cream. That's worked wonders for me.

Hmmm. I've struggled with cystic acne for years, and mine was hormonal. Have you seen a dermatologist? I've also found that Mario Badescu drying cream helps too. Good luck!

I agree with bonnie the Mario badescu line is great - but if you know the makeup is the problem then stop wearing it - simple as that.

I did stop wearing the make up, it's only been a day I stopped so hopefully things will get better. I guess my face just needs to breathe and I guess my face doesn't react well to bb creams lol and I have not heard of the Mario bases Iine but I will deff look into it! Thanks girls! I don't think it's hormonal because I'm on birth control (not for acne reasons) and my skin was fine before. I did talk to my derm but I honestly feel like she just gives me some magic cream and sends me out the door lol
