I wouldn't spend to much time asking a professional what to do bc they won't tell you and just bc you have a paper doesn't mean you know everything. I quit going to them bc they kept jacking up my hair.

No, I was simply giving the best advice I could based on what I was given. Yes, seeing it in person is always better. But from what I see her hair does not look frizzy and she is naturally blonde so her hair hasn't had to be lightened that many levels to get to where it is meaning it is far less damaged than someone with platinum hair that is naturally brown or black. I simply do not feel it was appropriate to act as if another professional's opinion does or doesn't mean as much as yours just because you don't fully agree with it. I went to school, I work in a salon, I was even raised by a hairdresser and I believe my own and that of the several other professionals and even the professionals in training deserve just as much credit even if you don't agree. The way you stated it to me was as if you were trying to say we weren't "professionals" also since you only included one person, had you not done that your statement would have been fine.

In no was was I try to discount your advive danielle, but as a pro wouldnt you rather have your client come to you to have this fixed than risk things going wrong at home? neither of us really know the condition of her hair and maybe shes worse off or better off tha either of us think. I was mearly pointing out the person whos advice I most agreed with.
if you feel your education is so much better that you can accuratly diagnose hair conditions and prescribe the best treatments online then by all means do so. I, however confident I may be with my skills and education, feel the best advice comes from some one who can actually get their hands on her hair.

Youve been given some sound advise from pros (Taylor B.) and as another cosmetologist I am also STRONGLY advising to see a pro about it. Platinum blondes like your self are always "2 minutes too long" away from chemical hair cuts or fried hair. Talk to your stylist about your money situation and they will work with you- we understand that not everyone has the $250 per visit budget so they might suggest what colors to do at home first or tell you which one to finish with.

I would do a protein filler, & dye it your preferred color. Then don't wash your hair as long as you can stand it, use dry shampoo, I love batiste, and when you do wash, do it in cold water.

Your hair is completely lacking melanin, which leaves the "pores" of your hair wide open. Nothing will stay in, until you grow and cut it off. But if you don't mind babying it, and dying often, you can do by yourself if you're just wanting a single process.

Protein fillers do wonders, so I'm surprised it didn't work for you. Try it again. Put it on your hair before coloring and also mix a small amount in with your color. Also, only wash your hair with cool water afterward.

The redken product alone saved my hair and if you would use that for a few weeks it should help a lot so your hair can take color and if you do go to sallys I'd suggest only going one or two shades darker and I've managed to cover bleached hair like yours with a client of mine with age beauteiful when she only wanted a few hilights and it turned into a nightmare and she came out wirh white bleached hair with a inch of roots because her stylist that is a careless "professional" used a cap and I would suggest useing a 9n or a 8n when your ready to color

I worked at sallys for two years and sallys prefers if you have cosmetology experience but its not required. and there was monthly quizzes on hair color that we had to take, so even if an associate isn't licensed they should have somewhat of an idea.

Stick with either a 9N or 9G it will still be a light blonde just not so blonde and do a demi-permanent color because it will do less damage! and I'm not sure if you use box bleach, get bleach from sallys or go to a salon but go to sallys for color!

I can't really give you advice cause there's a whole understanding pigments and how color works and reacts. And its not as easy as buy this and this and put it on. If you don't have much money I'd get a couple consultations on partial lowlights and just continue to add as you can save.

With your skin tone I'd suggest a light brown instead of blonde you'd look so pretty like that :) & @Taylor B. Around here where I'm from our Sally's mostly only hire professional cosmetologist. Maybe it's not like that everywhere though.?

Good luck to you. But you may end up going to a professional cause the color turned out horrible. Keep in mind Sally employees aren't hairdressers they're sales associates.

I don't have enough money to go to a professional.
I guess I'll have to dye it again all over my whole head instead of just trying to do low lights. I only did the filler before I dyed it the first time. I haven't since. that's just what the lady at sallys told me. I did the warmer color too and it turned out ash colored which I was happy with but then it came out. Blah. I'm being as nice as I can be too my hair and its been a few weeks since I tried to dye it so I thought I would try again after oil treatments and better shampoo and conditioner.

Or you could get stick tip extention lowlight (have a professional) put them in an have then take you to an ombre look to give your hair time to rest

As a professional with just this picture you need a professional, you need to fill with pigments or no color will hold and/or look like muck. Be careful with protein treatments because too much is actually a bad thing.

Try useing redken extreme shampoo and contitioner for a while them use a protine filler on freshley washed hair go to sallys and get your dye and use a 10 vol devoloper and leave it on about 10 mins longer you probally need a doubble pigminted color since you have so much damage a good color to use is age beauteiful and go one shade darker than you really want I bleached my hair from black to white then brown and redken extreme saved my hair and helped my color stick and actually repaired my hair with 3 washes becauae of the protine in it it will help make your color stick.
