Sometimes, depending on the person. It didn't for me but did for my sister. Make sure whatever you're using isn't drying out your skin, use a toner after you wash morning and night, and try to wash at the same time every morning and night (keep a scheduled routine, same time or close to every day). Don't put any makeup on for at least a day to let your skin air out a bit, and use a mild exfoliator from time to time, nothing too harsh just something to help get any dead skin off.
You can use lemon juice as a toner, it's a natural solution and works very well, or you can use witch hazel, which I've been using and it works wonderfully to minimize pores and help clear blemishes and blackheads.

Yes it's true. your skin is pushing all that dirt out..wait a while And it will get better. but I don't really see any acne...

Use a moisturizer too, your skin needs moisture to be healthy.
