For ages now I've had blackheads on my nose and they seem to be really 'deep', they're also on the side of my nose and a few on my forehead and chin. I can't get rid of them, no matter what I try (biore pore strips, scrubs etc.) Budgets ways are best but how do I get rid of them?

Have you tried the hairpin method? I tried it for the first time the other day, worked perfectly!

Alex, the key is beta Hydroxy acid. That is what gets rid of black heads. I learned from Wayne Goss that the product that the beta Hydroxy is in has to be the proper Ph for it to be an active ingredient. He listed three products that have the beta Hydroxy plus proper Ph. Let me look them up and I will be right back.

1. Proactive Solution Clarifying Night Cream
2. Neutrogena oil free acne stress control hydrating acne treatment.
3. Paula's Choice 1%-2% beta hydroxy acid gel/lotion/liquid

These are the three he listed. I hope that helps honey.

Beta hydroxy acid is another name for salicylic acid ,thats is found in most acne lines, they cleanse an unclog the pores but I found if you have very oily skin an you tend to get black heads all the time using a clarisonic along with a BHA cleanser might help you a lot more along with using a retinol at night to keep your cell turnover moving at a fast rate if your going to use a retinol start with 3 times a week so your skin can get use to it an spf 30 everyday must be used when using this.

Extraction does work but its going to damage the skin especially around the cheek and nose area causing scars. I use to do that and I regret it BIG TIME!

I'm a esthetician and I do not recommend that you do that at home you can cause scarring that will not heel an if you have keloid skin your left with a bigger problem than black heads.

The two things that work best for me are mixing lemon or lemon juice with honey and cinnamon (optional) and rubbing it over the effected area and leave it on for 5/6 minutes and the rinse with warm water and pat dry and the other thing I use in the apricot scrub from target or the apricot scrub from st Ives is really good but the target one does the job if you scrub and massage very well I can feel the dirt and grime coming off my skin almost it's amazing and I only do it 1-2 a week!! Hope that helps!!
