How much did it hurt to get your tongue pierced? was it worth it? are they high maintenance? how long to heal?

It hurt, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Make sure the place you is extremely clean and that they open all packages in front of you. I have heard horror stories...so just make sure. My healing process took about a week and a half. It was swollen but nothing I could not handle. Use mouth wash and you're good to go!

And keep a small bottle on you so you can rinse every time you eat while your healing.

Try to get a fake one first to see how you like it before you go for it.

Healing process for oral piercings its 4 weeks, it heals from outside to the inside, so it may look lije its healed, but you still have to take care of it. Mine was the most painful piercing I've had (of a total of 30) but I'm a cry baby lol, and yes its so worthy!

Be extremly careful. not to scare you but I've heard ssstories about people getting theirs pierced and the person doing the piercing hit the wrong vein and they ended up in the hospital.

I had mine it didn't hurt or take long to heal. I don't think its worth it, I didn't like mine personally sometimes I felt like it got in my way and I would accidental bite it not to hard to break my teeth but I've heard of people breaking their teeth on them. Everyone different though you might like it so if you want it I would go for it cause you never know how you'll feel about unless you do it.

The actual piercing wasn't very painful it just felt strange but different people have different pain thresholds. It was so worth it!! I love mine so much! Mine was healing fine, by the end of the first week it felt perfectly normal. However, I traveled and somehow the cabin pressure in the airplane aggravated it so it took like 2.5 weeks total for it to feel fine. But that differs from person to person as well. Make sure you get it done at a clean professional place :) go for it woman, it's great

It hurt The first week I kept eating ice though. For me personally it was hard to eat at first. Use a mouthwash without alcohol although after it healed I kept Using Listerine. Make you don't take it out for about 2 months or more. I took mine out for a job interview right after I couldn't get back in.
