You probably have to have a cosmetology license to work there, I know you do for Ulta.

I asked at the sephora near my house and yup the people that work there had make up experience and their cosmetology license so pretty much the lady told me I needed to have my license

You actually don't a lot of sephoras have people who only have experience you don't necessarily need a license. My school has a beauty program but has nothing to do with cosmetology what so ever and sephora came to the job fair last year and hired people for their stores.

So I"ve been hired to two sephoras already, one in a JCP and a freestanding store and you DO NOT need experience or your cosmetology license. As long as you have a personality they will hire you because its more retail and the make up they will teach you. Only the product consultants hired at expert level get to do a full face of make up anyway. So if you want to work there go for it. There are so many sephoras and they're always hiring. Good Luck!

You don't need any makeup experience just show them you can sale the products and your a very friendly happy person

Good luck! I recently applied to Sephora as well and I'm hoping I get called soon... I've applied over 4 times already... :(
