What are initial breakouts? I heard you get them from using retinoids, I'm using epiduo & my face was doing better than it started breaking out, is this it?

I think its when you start using a new acne product that is really strong and initially your face freaks out because its not used to it which is why most products say start with one application a day then increase over time - basically your face will seem like its getting worse at first but keep at it and you should start seeing the benefits in about a month but usually the first week you break out really bad if your skin is nor used to it.

That happens to me as well when I use a new product. Also if you go to a different spa for a facial, your face will breakout. Or if you go after not been for a while.

Hi I'm a cosmetologist! this happens when using any new product. its nice at first bc it gets rid of the pimples on the surface and then over time as the medicine/ingredients are able to penetrate deeper into the skin its able to bring the deeper impurities out.
stick with your routine. it will take a little bit of time but if your not consistent then your skin will never have the chance to flush everything out and look amazing.
