@Jamie d. Here is a good rule of thumb. If you see something you want take a pic oh it and note the price. Wait atleast one day before purchasing it. Some things you won't go back and purchase.

My boy questions me everytime I buy new stuff like mascaras and lipsticks for example..He always says why you need so much and my response is normally because they are alk for different occasions and when I start explaining he says okay whatever I'm sorry I asked..lol..but within the past 3yrs I have been able to control myself no longer splurging, I have stopped and said to myself do I really need it and don't I something similar and I stop myself...I have reached the point where I'm getting rid of products, quite proud of myself..lets hope I can continue..I feel soo much better I am not the only one... :-)

@Sara S yeah..I don't tell my husband unless I'm going to buy something expensive..in which case I always feel guilty but buy it anyways cuz I'm weak..lol but when the cash isn't there I'm pretty good with being patient until I can get it..:) lol.

I can say that its hard sometimes being a responsible adult and hving the attention span of a dog when I'm out and I see sumthing super cute :( its the Girl in us lol but I try to discipline myself so I don't go over board... My new obsessions are nail polishes & lip sticks(#RiRiWoo) 😆

Shoppings not that big of a deal, as I'm a huge fan of cheap/foreign cosmetics. If I'm not totally happy with something I return it (though, I am guilty that it just gets thrown away). As with clothes, I feel horrible if I spend more than 20 dollars on a single article of clothing, I have no idea why. I have to get at least 3 things for that amount. So, yeah. I love shopping, but I'm really cheap. And with makeup, no one can tell if it's high or low end when it's on your face!

@Rose, I admire your ability to save a few bucks here and there. Must of us should be like that. Unfortunately, as a Makeup Artist, I need to spend more money on products because I need to produce the professional look I am going for. Of course you can get some great drugstore products that work wonders, but not everything I need can be bought cheap. I know what your saying hun, it is important to get a lock down on your savings, But I also most definitely. research or get training on a lot of brands, so then I can make a good buy. I can not return products at Sephora, well I COULD but it is annoying, because I should know better if a product works or not. Dealing with constant returns is the most annoying thing in the world when everything is available to try. So yea...enough rambles....

Definitely almond shape eye...and Sinead...when I'm down and mentally overwhelmed...I go shopping... I enjoy it and actually its called emotionally spending. however, I always spend in moderation. I don't go out and buy Prada purses when I'm on a Walmart budget lol

Is anyone elses self esteem totally sh*t? My bf says I'm the most gorgeous girl on earth, I get complimented daily, guys literally stop in their tracks to hit on me (annoying btw) but even still I feel Soooo painstakingly average, mostly ugly. Why? Will this ever change? Is anyone else this way?

Dallas...let me say beauty starts in the heart. you have to tell yourself that you are beautiful even on your worse days. love the skin you are in. we as women are to critical of ourselves, when truth is we all have flaw...but that's what make us unique. take it slow and do little sweet things to remind yourself that you are beautiful.

Exactly dallas, you remind me of myself when I was 20. Life moves fast. Love yourself and the rest will come together. I've seen women come in the store with half burnt faces...and they are happy and brave! Manu women have it worse and feel wonderful about themselves. Who am I to judge myself?
