My hair is naturally wavy but its damaged now due to the hair dyes and bleaching. I can't stand it now its super dry and frizzy. I'm thinking about getting the keratin treatment done. Has anyone tried it before? Would you recommend it?

I had my hair done in August,(a b-day treat from the boyfriend!!), and I'm a natural redhead with wavy, coarse, and what I've been told by hairstylists is closest in texture to "Asian hair", (not my term...theirs). I would say my hair is waiver than most of the "Asian hair" I've seen. After the keratin all the friends thought I looked like I had someone else's hair! It did make my hair a shade or two darker, but it's not really noticeable, and my hair is just getting to the stage where I could use another treatment. Overall, I would say if time is important, the treatment is worth the investment b/c your hair will always look like you straightened it. I can't speak to the damage, as I've never colored my hair, but coming from a girl with unruly hair, I would say do it.

Since your hair is already pretty damaged from coloring and especially bleaching. I would not recommend getting a keratin treatment because your hair will literally melt away in areas and break off. I would recommend using a keratin smoothing shampoo and conditioner and deep conditioning mask!

Keratin is like magic, well for me at least. I get it done once a year and I have thickish frizzy wavy hair. It smooths everything out, makes flat ironing and styling super easy and quick and makes your hair shiny and healthy. I'd definitely invest in getting one done. As far as damage, it has been known to help because the keratin wraps around each hair strand keeping it moisturized and strong. It's worth the money :) Just make sure you get it done from the right person. I would look around first. Just like with a tattoo. You need to find the right artist.

COCONUT OIL! Try doing a deep condition with the oil at least 2x a week for min if an hour. Try not to shampoo your hair often but condition. coconut oil will do wonders.
