I dyed my hair dark brown a year ago and I know that bleaching works on it but I don't want to bleach it all , if I used a box hair dye to dye it a lighter brown? would it change the area where it's dark brown? If so , any hair dyes you'd reccomend?

I use garnier fructis hair dye. They have a dye that's is to go from dark to light. It worked for me. You might want to look at.

If you use a lighter color brown dye on dark brown hair it will turn in Orange. You have to bleach first. Go to a pro

Yes, see a professional so you won't damage your hair and end up with a color you didn't want or like.

DO NOT use box color, it contains metallic salts and the build up from that will cause your hair to break. Go to a professional they will make sure your hair stays in good condition.
