Do any of you have an any experience with a procedure to reduce hair volume at a salon..
I think they call it THINNING.. My stylist suggested it yesterday after I got my hair cut to just above the shoulders.
I am a lil iffy about how it will grow out. if you have any experience with it, please help. My appointment is this afternoon.

I think they're referring to when they cut out a lot of the heavy volume that weighs your hair down? If so, they will normally cut layers too so you don't have to worry about how it will grow out as long as you get regular trims.

I have by hair thinned out and it gives more volume to your hair because if you are like me I have A TON of hair so it adds a nice body to it. and it grows back the same as it did before hand.

Well it really depends on the exact techniques your stylist uses to preform the look. But ask your stylist all your questions and clearly voice your concerns. we appreciate that and are more than happy to talk you through the entire process step by step. Also be sure to ask for any styling recommendations or products that will help you absolutely love your hair. ultimately go with your gut, you know your hair better than anyone else and if you don't feel completely comfortable don't do it.

My hair tends to grow out frizzy. so I am scared I'll have 1 or 2 inch pieces of hair standing out of my scalp in a months time. have you seen that happen?

No, they don't cut it short like that. When I get mine de-bulked (sounds so much better that thinned) they use a special pair of scissors that pretty much create these special layers while removing a good volume of hair so you don't have so much. I love it and it never grows out weird for me, just looks like layers. My stylistic told me that if I ever go somewhere else and ask for a de-bulking and they use a razor, to not let them.

Alright! sounds cool...so going by that, if I get that done to my hair which are like halfway my neck long, they could grow down ok?

Shouldnt be a problem. they should be taking the weight out from your hair only where you need it.
