Hi everyone,
I'm a light ash Blonde right now but I'm naturally dark brown. As you can imagine my hair is quite damaged :p
Now I use toner shampoos and conditioners to try and keep my colour looking good in between salon visits but you find that it works on the ends and mid lengths but my roots remain a yucky yellow colour. At first I thought I just wasn't getting to my roots properly so I made sure to get it all in there and still yellow roots. Now I'm starting to think its because my natural colour is so dark and is making them go yellow..?
I seriously have no idea but just wanted to know if any other girls out there has had this problem? Found a way to get rid of it and/or have any cool at home tricks I can use? I feel like I've tried everything!
I'm from Australia too so products that I can buy here or online if possible!
Thanks x

Use aloe Vera gel.

Will that just help damage wise or with the colour?

I'm pretty blonde and have never had this happen. Is your stylist applying a toner directly after color application? Also...once your ends are colored properly, aside from fading a bit, your dark hair should be a non-issue. Plus you are always trimming them...I hope with microtrims..so that should keep them looking healthy and more even in color. Especially if you are using purple shampoo.  Weird.

I'm from Melbourne and I go to Rokk ebony salons they are amazing and will do your colour and toner right. They are all trained the same so you can go to any. Products I use are wella professional purple shampoo it's so much better than any other purple shampoo I've used in the past and I use the Moroccan oil mask (one with the orange lid) once a week for 10 mins. I use heat spray. And put morrocan oil on my damp hair and to smooth out frizz after styling. I have natural black hair and have managed to get healthy blonde locks good luck x

Sounds crazy but grape koolaid will work as emergency toner, but keep it off white hair unless you want lavender highlights.
