I'm building my makeup kit and I'm wondering what foundations would be good to start with preferably affordable with a wide variety of shades that are buildable coverage. Any suggestions?

I suggest make up for ever or lorac, both good for many skin types, lots of shades.

The OCC Skin Tints are $20 each as are there concealers, they have 12 shades, but they also sell a white, yellow, and black water based airbrush foundation that you can use to customize them. The coverage is medium and lightweight, good for HD. Also make sure you apply for all the discounts you can.

Loving MAC full coverage (a pro product) can be used as a concealer, full foundation or sheered out with moisturizer for lighter coverage.
