Well you'll get used to them, I had them for 2 years & yes at first it took sometime to get used too but you'll get used to them and they won't bother you. I personally think there cute😊 plus once there off you'll be so much happier with your smile and more confident, it's worth it. TEAM BRACE FACE :)

I was 19 when I got mine on. I only needed them for a year and I will be getting them off in about a month or so. judging by your teeth you won't have them on too long. in the end it will be worth it cuz you'll have pretty teeth :)

I'm 19 next month and will be getting ceramic braces. I had braces once before but my teeth have moved since so I'm getting them again. If you really don't want people to see them, get Invisalign. I chose ceramic braces because they are fixed. I just know that I will forget to put removable braces in, or lose them! The kind I'm getting are called FastBraces, so I'll have them off fairly quickly.

Just do your research before you go to the dentist. I looked into all the types of braces my dentist offers before my appointment, and made a list of all the ones that were removable, so that I could tell them which ones I didn't want. Then they evaluated my teeth and gave me an option between ceramic or metal braces, and that was that! It's much less stressful when you do your research:) otherwise you can just go through all the options with your dentist when you see him/her. It's better to spend time weighing up your options and getting exactly what you want than ending up with something you didn't want. Good luck!;)

I wish I had gotten mine when I was younger, but better late than never. I was really worried about being self conscious too, but I know I'll be so happy I did it when I get them off. I still don't really like to smile with teeth in pics, but I will soon :). Go for it if its something you want.

Honestly, the time you have them goes by so quickly, especially when you start seeing results, that you don't mind having them as much! Maybe get the clear ones instead of metal so that you can't see them as much.
I'm getting my braces off in a week after two years, I'm ecstatic and my teeth look awesome :)

And I thought I got mine too late. I got mine when I was about 16.5 and a year passed since then. I was also worried because everyone I know got their braces off by the time I got mine on...but it really won't bother me now.
