So I want to be a movie/tv actress but don't know if I have the look. No I'm not asking if I'm pretty, but if you haven't noticed casting directors go for a certain look and I'm not sure if I have that. Help.

A picture would help. And as a fellow actress sometimes it take 100 before you even get a callback, you just need to stick with it. Age also has a pull, but mostly it's just that you weren't quite perfect. Good luck though!

You are so pretty! Maybe get contacts, but other than that you are all set! There really isn't "a look", but just put yourself out there and have fun (:

Yeah I definitely think you have "the look" lol. Your a very pretty girl! & any casting director's would be foolish not to choose you because your not their stereotype actress! Definitely give acting a try :)

As a fellow actress, a few tips from my experience:
-don't get caught up in one director/coach/teacher. Take as many small seminars and courses as you can to get comfortable with different directing styles
-community is your friend! Don't snub your nose at community theatre, it's where I and many other actors got their start.
-volunteer backstage. So you didn't get the part. Bummer! But, if you want to work with that group again, got a callback, or want to learn some tricks, volunteer backstage at production time to get to interact with the actors who got the role you wanted. See what they do differently from you. LEARN
-don't give up. I went through nearly 80 casting calls, callbacks, and ensemble roles before I got my first named character of "princess #5". And let me tell you, I was EXCITED. I got 2 lines and an 8 count dance solo. And I was over the moon.
-there are no small parts, only small actors. You are NEVER too good for a part. Take the role, no matter how small. A dedicated performer in ensemble trumps a cocky lead any day, both in an actors eyes and in a directors eyes
-be yourself. Don't make promises you can't keep. And keep your head up :)
Wow that was long. I'll get off my soapbox now ;)

For now, I would just put yourself out there with anything you can. Experience is everything. Break a leg out there!

Actresses come in all shapes and sizes. Follow your heart and if in the end it doesn't pan out, you'll know you gave it your all without regrets. Best of luck!

I'm in acting too! Same age but completely opposite. I'm 14 and usually audition for 8-15.

Yeah, people just see me as much older, one time I just had mascara on and these people were handing me alcohol.
