Alright, here's my story,

(Feel free to laugh. I'm laughing about it too)

I really wanted to try a self tanning lotion before and during Summer break, because I don't tan. Or sunburn. I just tan veryy very slowly. So I looked at reviews and got some ideas, and I ended up getting Banana Boat Summer Color Self-Tanning Lotion. And I really like it! The color is great, and it gave a slight tan pretty fast. The only thing is, my hands are a bit.. Orange. And I missed a few spots here and there. I heard that if you wanted to apply it with your hands, just make sure you wash it out immediately. So I tried that, but I didn't really like it, so I got gloves. And I realllyy tried to blend it in! Soo I'm not quite sure what happened.. Is there any possible way to get a little bit of the orange out of my hands? And maybe some self tanning tips? And if I just have to let it fade, how long do you think it will take?

Exfoliate. Try Olive oil, sugar & lemon juice. Make sure you always exfoliate before & wash your hands after. Good luck darling (:

If you want to try it out again so you don't get that again try blending regular lotion on you feet and hands so you don't get blotches

This sounds weird but it does work:p cover your hands in toothpaste, leave to dry then wash off:)

You can use a 3" foam brush to blend it out, (if you want to see the technique you can click this link: http://youtu.be/e8lwzn-__Xc) Personally, that's what I do with spray tanners and lotions, also on your hands and feet get a pumice and use that after to get it all off. What really works for me is to use an aerosol deodorant (I use dove because it smells yummy!!) as a barrier on my hands and feet, this will keep the self tanner out completely- you can also use a plain white lotion.. But instead of washing my hands after I just use a makeup remover wipe to go over my palms, in between my fingers, toes, on my nails, and blot it on my knuckles and creases of my wrists.. Also make sure you deeply exfoliate& shave right before, then apply a plain white lotion on parts of your body that are more dry and will soak up more tanner like elbows/knees/ feet/etc.. And let that completely dry before applying your self tanner. Then because you're using a gradual tanner I suggest you do thin coats twice a day to get faster color but applying lighter coats more frequently will help the product blend out any errors. I've also noticed that using a light exfoliating body scrub (again, I use dove but you can use any just make sure it has small exfoliating beads nothing too big that will take off more color), and using this daily& lightly when you shower will help prevent any splotchy-ness as the color fades away& again, help blend out any mistakes.. Using toothpaste, lemon juice, contact solution, or baking soda& water will help to fade your self tanner faster, and you can purchase self tanner removers from ulta or Sally's if its really bad- but exfoliating (you can even make your own with sugar and lemon juice) and constantly using lotion really does help it fade quickly if you don't have any of these products! I hope this helps!! Xoxo.
