I use them for foundation and just lightly tap it all over my face. you can clean it the same way you clean brushes=]

Definitely use it damp, and tap it gently in circular motions to blend :)

Use more of a tapping motion than a swirling motion like brushes. No offense but I still love my brush so you may like the earlier more than the latter. For cleansing I take a brush cleanser and just lather it up with warm water. I rinse it till the water runs clear then set it in the window sill to dry.

Has to be damp, wash regularly, and the online dupes are great! I get mine from ebay for $1!

I love using sponges but I found they do take more patience and time to use so if you're in a rush or want to speed the process up whatever I do is apply my foundation with a brush first 2 get it all over my face then I take the damp sponge and use a blotting motion and blot all over my face which helps too get rid of excess Foundation and set it really nice. looks very airbrushed and natural :-)

Also the more you use it the more you get used to it and feel more comfortable with it. :-)
