Do you guys usually set your foundation with powder? I do not. I feel like it makes my face look yucky and super dry. But without the setting powder it looks fantastic!

Yes that's understandable for oily skin. Yes a little dewy makes it look more fresh. That's how I like it.

Lol "yes yes" makes me sound robotic. Or automated lol.

Powder is what makes the foundation last. I always set. If that's working for you then keep it up. But if your makeup isn't lasting as long as you like then try a different powder.

Always, but I have oily skin.

Susie, yea for me I find that not setting my makeup last just as long and looks better. I don't have an oil problem so I think that's why. I was just curious to see if you guys did or not.

Mickie, I haven't tried that either but I could try it just to experiment! Thank you!

I only set my foundation on days my skin is more oily. I love the dewy look you get without the powder. A lot of times I just use powder under my eyes to prevent raccoon eyes from makeup fallout. It works great.

I'm with Dara. Usually the only thing I set is my under eye concealor but mostly because it creases lol. I have super oily skin too though and really I only powder when someone yells at me for my face being too shiny, which is usually about 4-5 hours later depending on the foundation I'm wearing. I can't stand the "powdered" look. I feel like it's aging lol. But then again, I do have a tendency to look like I just got done running 10 miles lol.

Doing your liquid foundation over powder gives a dewy, natural look, super pretty! If I'm doing that technique I'll do concealer, powder, liquid foundation.

I have pretty dry skin except for the tzone. So I set it with minimal powder. Matte finish looks awful on my dry skin.

I don't set mine, and if I do it's only on my nose cause that's the only place it get oily. I mainly use it for when I wear bb creams.

After I apply my foundation and concealer I set it with a light dusting of stila correcting powder (the tri-colour one that you grind in the compact each time for one application of loose powder without mess!). it doesn't make me look dry and helps my makeup last.

I only apply on certain spots as needed for me.It really isn't a must to do for everyone just like foundation.

I do with Mac mineralized skin finish...only because I have combination skin and my face will get oily if I don't

Ivone try it. :) But I think it also depends on the foundation you use. My foundation dries pretty good.

Yes I feel like setting with powder is a must for oily skin. Even setting my revlon colorstay foundation sometimes gets a little oily at the end of the day. But I make sure to lightly dust it on my face, more so only on my t-zone.

No cos I have dry skin so it wuld make my skin look cakey n 2 matte, typically 4 sum1 with dry skin I like the dewy look lol. I think only ppl with oily skin need 2 use powder 2 stop the shine n makeup can slide off oily skin, which isn't a problem for girls with dry skin.
