So I've tried using facial cream but all it did was irritate my face. I need to get rid of these dry patches!

I had the same problem.. Here's what helped me :)
I started drinking more water (that really has helped a ton)
I also started using an exfoliating glove in the shower on my face and I love it. I actually put a tiny bit of purity cleanser from philosophy and it has worked wonders.
Make sure you follow with a light moisturizer or if its night, then a little bit heavier one
Hope this helped :)

Argan oil! I use the Josie Maran one and it's a freakin charm when I had dry spots in the winter. Just put it in and let it sit for a bit and then put a natural/organic moisturizer over to seal it in. Since both products are natural, it would less likely irritate your skin and still moisturized really well!

I study esthetics & too much exfoliation will just irritate your skin. I recommend changing your cleanser to a gentle nonfoaming cleanser that won't strip your skin of its natural oil. follow that with a toner & moisturizer with SPF & you should see a difference! I use a ultra hydrator by clinique & its amazing. but really you should not exfoliate more than twice a week & make sure you are hydrated because that plays a huge part. good luck!
