Just HOW ridiculous would it be to walk down the street with an umbrella to keep the sun away?? Not that it matters cause I'm not overly concerned with what my neighbors think, Haha, but I went for a walk with my son this morning and wore a maxi dress plus long sleeves but I don't own hats and need some face protection. Not to mention I live in AZ which is HOT and its not even smart to wear long clothing in the type of heat we get down here. So would an umbrella be a good option so that I could wear short sleeves? Its just a 20-45 min neighborhood walk to get some fresh air. And what would you think if you saw someone walking in the sun with an umbrella? Be honest, its just nice to get inside peoples' minds B)

I would think it a little odd, but to each their own. Why not just use sunscreen and one of those big, floppy straw hats that seem to be in style? If you want to cover your arm and legs, just wear a light weight, white cotton material like linen.

Yeah I'm using a 50 SPF on arms and chest right now but I break out with SPF on face, that's why I was going to rock the 'brella:)

What about a parasol? Aren't those meant for that very purpose?

Lol its not that odd depending on where your from - its very popular to do that in Asia and many of my friends who travel to the states from Asia still rock the umbrella to keep their skin fair - but I don't think its that strange.

Lol I know AZ is hot as satans toe nails!!lol I wouldn't worry about that cuz over there is hella hispanics n many latina women use umbrellas for shade cuz they want to b dark or ruin their skin.So to me its normal,n othr countries women are totally covered up I'm thinking aren't you hot but that's their beliefs.
