Primer is a must for most girls really into make up. It keeps the eye shadow from going to the crease later in the day, which usually is a problem for oily skin especially. Is it needed? It is for me. Definitely. But some people use it for special occasions. I use Mary Kay eye primer. A good but cheap one is ELF primer. ;)

Primers help your eyeshadow to look bolder and fresh, like you just applied it.

I realized you weren't talking about eyes. Great. Well elf has a setting spray that acts like a face primer. It's the same concept, it keeps your foundation on longer and it looks fresher. :)

Its fine :) I'm considering all primers so you gave great info that I needed :) do you only use a eye primer? isit bad for your skin?

My skin isn't oily so I don't use any face primer. Just my matte foundation. But I can't live without my eye primer. I haven't heard of someone having problems with face primers so I think you should definitely give them a try. You know how you need to touch up often? Well primers help with that. ;) very useful.

You can get water based and silicone based primers. So I'd imagine water based would cause less breakouts.

I swear by primer. It helps your make up stay on longer and it makes it look less cakey, so if you've got that really dry or flakey kind of skin when you apply foundation or bb cream, primer smoothes it out and rids your face of the lines and uneven texture.

My skin is oily.. okay I think I will invest in trying out a primer coz my makeup does smudge a lot during the day.. I'm just scared it will cause blackheads n break outs but I guess thsts the same as foundation.. thank you girls...
