I wouldn't put that on face. For eye primer I just use a creamy concealer.

Elsa- Yeah, hemp is extracted from marijuana leaves.
I would just be very careful with putting this by & on your eyes because body butter/lotions are very oily/wax based, will burn if you ever get it in your eyes, and I would think that this would make it difficult to blend your shadows out with the way your skin feels after you use lotion to it but that's just me! If you're looking for a cheap shadow primer... there are a lot of easy and cheap options... that being said here are some! I use this daily as a face primer, Monistat's Chafing relief powder gel- this is a clear serum with the same ingredients in it as Smashbox's photo finish primer, except this is $5- not $40...and I use it by my eyes, it won't sting or burn if you get it in your eyes, and you can even use it on your lips as lip balm too. Like Nicole said, you can definitely use a creamy concealer if you want to color correct your eyelids or want a great canvas to start out with for bright shadows, this works great and will help the shadows stick which is the over-all reason we use primers to begin with; right?!...I use NYX's concealer in a jar it's a great concealer and doesn't crease at all. I also use NYX's jumbo eye pencil in milk, this blends out well and leaves your eyelids really smooth and will hold your shadow on there all night & prevent fall out so much. These are both under $5...and NYX also sells an eyeshadow base, I just find myself reaching for these two more. There are a lot of the cheaper companies jumping on board for the trendiness of eyeshadow primers- same way they've done with bb creams, but it doesn't mean they all work that well, a lot of them crease and cake up- in my opinion. I really recommend those primers, and Elf has a pretty good shadow primer which is $3 too- But if you really are persistent in doing this, I would recommend you substituting some of these products for other things. Instead of using body butter try- petroleum jelly (it can get in your eyes it won't burn and is made for many different uses/by the eyes), zinc oxide (it's a thicker sunscreen that will protect your fine skin around your eyes from the sun, and hold your shadow on too), a neutral/nude lipstick (Revlon also makes a clear lip conditioning lipstick which would be perfect), concealer (hard candy's glamoflague is very thick, and any concealer in a jar are more thick than the tube or twist up kinds- even using a concealer crayon will work!), etc. Instead of body lotions try- aloe vera gel, sunscreen, Monistat chafing gel, a thicker wrinkle/anti aging eye cream (this is made for around your eyes so I would absolutely suggest this! And with many stores like Target, Kmart, Walmart having their own generic brand of many of the more expensive eye creams- you can find this pretty cheap. I have one from Kmart that was under $10 and has the same ingredients in it as the Dermalogica Map 15 Regenerator which is $65, and Retinol eye cream- so there are other cheap safe options out there!)
These would just be some of my suggestions, you don't have to use them or even listen to me- I just wanted to put this out there because body butter isn't made to go near your eyes- since if you flip most of these over they say "wash with water if gets in eyes" or made for "external use only", you just want to be very careful with putting products like that in that delicate area - since they have chemicals in them (that you may not be aware of) that aren't okay to go in your eyes, not to mention- the skin on your eyelids/under your eyes is a lot thinner/different than the skin on your face and body! xoxo
