The only face primer I will ever use (and use daily) is, Monistat's chafing relief powder gel- it's a clear serum that will make your skin and foundation completely flawlessly smooth, minimize your pores, and hold your makeup on all day long. (It's also a complete dupe for Smashbox's photo finish primer which is $40, and this is $5 at Walmart!- and is also a pretty good sized tube rather than other primers which are so expensive but come in tiny bottles!) I use this as an eye primer too and then I go over it when it's completely dry with my NYX concealer in a jar as a color corrector, because I have really thin skin on my eyelids which makes for very noticeable vein-y eyelids :( lol...also another really great shadow primer that I love using and would completely recommend- not to mention is $4!- is NYX's jumbo eye pencil in milk (this works great for bright colored shadows, glitter, and a strong bold smokey eye & blends very easily making it very easy to work with, as well as can be used for other things like highlighting and tight-lining in your waterline), and NYX's eyeshadow base will also do the same thing, but I personally like the jumbo eye pencil much better; but this also comes in white (for a matte finish), white pearl (for pearly/sparkly/glittery shadows), and beige/skin tone (for a natural finish, this is more for color correcting if you have dark eyelids and want to create an even canvas for bright colors and will help prevent fallout).
I also wanted to tell you a good all over face primer for you since you have oily skin is milk of magnesia- which is weird, I know- but it works great to absorb oil on your face, make your makeup completely matte, and stay on all night. Make sure you use the orignal plain one, unless you want your face to smell minty or like fruit- and also your face will be chalky/white when you use this, but just apply your foundation right over it, so don't worry about it! You can go on YouTube and check out reviews/tutorials if you want to see how it works. I have a friend who uses this &swears by it- especially when she goes out! She has oily/combination skin & dancing can cause you to sweat/your makeup to run, but using this really does make her makeup look great and stay put all night long. I've never personally used this though because my skin is very dry, so I can't use this- besides I like using more serum/oil based primers. Also, you should know too that using oil on your skin at night to moisturize will help your skin naturally stop producing so much of it's own oil because it's getting it somewhere else. This will take about two weeks until you see a noticeable difference, but I promise it will help your skin not be as oily in the long run if you stick with it. You can use bio oil, argan oil, coconut oil, tea tree oil, etc- all of these are completely fine to use nightly to moisturize your skin and help control your own oil, rather than using matte makeup, translucent setting powders, and blotting tissue. Just something you can look into or try if you want! :) Hope this helps!
xoxo

If you're looking for ELF products , try buying online!! They almost ALWAYS have sales and deals. Just sign up for the news letter. I've bought tons of products from them.. Some are great.. A few we're blah.. But everything is SO affordable.

Wet N Wild/Fergie collection has an AMAZING eyeshadow primer called take on the day and it's only 3.99. I love it and will totally use it in my kit. I did my girl's eyes with one using the fergie, the other using UDPP and they both lasted all day and looked the same. Make sure you shake it each time you use it. I love it, want to go stock up in case their collaboration ends.

Oh, and people here are talking about the regular elf "essentials" primer. The one with the doe foot applicator, NOT their Studio line version that is a concealer-stick with a "liner sealer" on the other end. Both of those products do the exact opposite of what they're supposed to do huge FAIL on elf's part.

The elf primer was not good at all for me I was disappointed do far I'm sticking with my Too faced insurance...well if you wasn't high end for a cheaper price you can buy Urban Decay eye primer at Nordstrom Rack for $8.00 yes compared to the reg price its a steal. So find out if you have Nordstrom Rack department store in your area. They sell almost all brands at a cheap price.

I never actually tried the elf primer with the doe foot, so can't comment on it, I just know that's the one people like. Emanuele uses it all the time which is why I will try it sometime. Also, I love a lot of nyx, but didn't think their primer was all that. The wnw fergie one is the only one I've liked outside of UDPP (which I do like, just wanted a cheaper option with the huge cost of building my kit).
