I can't stop biting my nails! Any tips on how to stop biting them other than that horrible tasting varnish? Thanks, things like alternative distractions would help! XO.

Try this-but you must be honest to yourself.please, don't laugh guys,it worked out for me.
I took all of my nailpolishes and lined them up on their colors.than I decided-for each time I bite my nail,I take one of them away and give them to my mom, than she hides them.after each day you'll have a couple of nailpolishes to hide.when you reach five days without hiding any nailpolish, you're susceed and you can take one nailpolish, and it goes like that all until you turn all of your nailpolishes back.my mom was actually ready to give away all of my nailpolishes, until I got serious about it.
lol,it was ridicilous...

Ik hand sanitizer helps because it tastes gross. also you could to find something else to do with your hands like cleaning or video games or something. and chew gum, that keeps your mouth busy so you won't do it. I chew my nails a lot and I usually do those things, it actually helps. most of the time anyways. lol

I did the same thing but than I realized that putting nail polish on will make you just want to peel the nail polish off its a New habit but much less drastic (:

I have this problem too! Try this: Always be chewing sugarless gum. That way, you can't chew on your nails. I've been biting mine for 5 years and this is working!!

I used to bite my nails. What I did required a friend's help. I wore a rubber band and every time one of my friends caught me biting my nails, they would snap the rubber band and it hurt. It just taught me to stop.
