My hair is really dry, I don't know what shampoo and conditioner to try next (something that gets rid of the dandruff would be a bonus)... Any suggestions??

Lemon juice works great on dandruff...Just rinse your scalp with lemon juice mixed with water after using your shampoo and conditioner...Alternatively you can also try diluted vinegar...Deep conditioning twice a week with a mixture of coconut and castor oil is gud too...hope this helps :)

If you leave coconut oil in your hair and wash it in the morning you will see a big diference! Do it 3 to 4 times a week.

Talia, is your scalp dry or oily? Many people get dandruff confused with a dry scalp. If it's dandruff, you'll have an oily scalp. If it's just flakes but not oily, then it's just dry. You won't want to be using dandruff shampoo on that. Figure out which one it is first. If it's dandruff I suggest AG Control Shampoo. If it's dry scalp and hair, then get something really moisturizing, like anything from the AG Moisture and Shine line. A spray leave-in conditioner may be enough to get that added moisture that you need.

I just started using John Frieda root awakening hydrate + nourish shampoo & conditioner and I love it! I have dry hair and dandruff also and the tea tree oil and mint in this have helped so much with the dandruff! And rinsing your hair and scalp on cold water at the end of you shower helps too. My hair is so soft with this product, plus I started using Organix keratin oil spray on my wet hair and dry hair for frizz and it works and smells great!

I heard that Queen Helene's Cholesterol conditioner works good as a deep conditioner. it's really cheap too. the jar is huge and I've found it at my local Sally's Beauty Supply for under $4. I will be trying it this weekend.
