Hi Girls!
Serval months ago I got my hair cut and colored at a local hair salon. The stylist told me that they do not use Redken Products. Before I moved , I had my hair cut and colored by my stylist I have gone to for years. She always used Redken Color. After she applied the color all over my hair, she put me under the hair dryer for like 45 minutes. I never had any problems at all.
So I went to this new girl and I did not wash my hair for 3 days. But the next 4 days I was seeing color coming out of my hair. Btw this girl did not put me under the dryer. So I called her and she told me this was normal. I told her about my experiences before, which did not matter to her. She was very nice to me.
So I am thinking of getting my haircut by a stylist at the Ulta Salon. They use Redken. I told the one stylist what happened and she said it was because its semi permenant and not permenant. She told me the difference and it made sense to me. And she explained why they put us under the dryer.
So my question is , have any of you girls gone to Ulta to get your hair cut and color? if so, what was your experience. I talked to 2 girls and I feel good about this.
With much gratitude, Susan

Like any hair salon it will be hit and miss. The value of a hairstylist depends on the value she puts into her clients comfort, as well as her/his education and passion for the craft.
Hopefully it will be great. Just remember everyone likes different techniques to give similar results.
I know people that have had great experiences at places like JCP and Ulta but I also know people that would go near the place again. It depends on the stylist.

Your on the path in finding the perfect match for your needs. Communication is key. I always look at their personal appearance. Its no different than hiring someone for a job. If questions can be answered and you feel confident and ready for the experience, then go for it. My stylist has pictures of before and after shots. I hope you have a great experience at Ulta. My hair is everything. I to can relate. Smile and stay beautiful. :)
