What foundations do you use?

Try mixing it with primer or moisturiser before applying. Find out what type of skin you have (oily, dry, combo) there are foundations out there that work better with different skin types.
Oh and also try shaking the bottle, sometimes it can be a build up in product!!

I have that issue sometimes - mainly only with revloncolorstay though. I found that if I wait in between for moisturizer, primer and foundation to settle and then powder just a bit it doesn't look cakey. Plus I realized I use too much! Never thought I didn't but if you don't rush and use a lot less it'll blend into your skin
