So, what is in brush cleaner? Like how bad is it to use a eye makeup remover to clean your brushes?

For a good deep clean that could be done once a month I use baby shampoo and water and a cloth , as for the best brush cleaner in the world that would be rubbing alcohol just a little go's along way and it takes all the bacteria out and it removes the colors. Hope this helps

Baby shampoo is the best! It leaves brushes soft and looking new :) and it's cheap! Lol. I just run mine under water and shampoo them lol.

I use "The Masters" Brush Cleaner and Preserver. It is made for paintbrushes but I find that it works just as well on my makeup brushes, especially ones that have absorbed a lot of heavy products (gel liner, grease paint). It is a little peach colored tub with a soap cake inside that you swirl your wet brushes on then rinse. Super easy. Costs four bucks at the art supply store.
