It depends on how far the needle got into your ear unsterilized. If it went too far and drew blood then I'd wash your ear with hot water and soap.

My mum used to always pierce her own ears and it was fine as long as the needle and earing were sterile and clean them everyday with something like savlon spray:)

My close friend pieced 3 different holes I'm my ears 3 years ago and I'm fine. lol just clean them with piercing cleaner from your local Claire's or piercing shop 2 times a day for a few weeks and you will for sure be okay!

Clean them with salt water twice a day till they heal n they should be fine =] or you can buy actually piercing cleaner but I'm pretty sure it's just saline solution anyway =]

I would not have don't that with a pin, let alone a pin not sterilized. But...now since you've done it, clean it with saline. Don't use the alcohol. Professional piercers don't recommend it. Just keep a close eye on it and any sign of infection that rises I'd go straight to a reputable piercing parlor and have them take it from there.
