I need some ideas, I want to dress more mature but casual and cute. Can anyone show me some picture ideas? I feel like my clothes scream high school.

After I graduated high school, I got rid of all my 'name brand' clothes like American Eagle, Hollister, etc. I shop in Target and Kohl's misses section. I get clothes that can mix & match and that can be casual but also can be dressed up.

There's no way anyone 'should' dress, especially seeing how 20 means different things for different people. I always had a more 'mature' style I guess, shopping at Rainbow, Love Culture, Body Central, and online shops like Modcloth.

Accessories are a good place to start, including shoes, belts, scarves, purses. Basic pieces like a little black dress, a business type dress , a well fitted blazer jacket and other outter wear like peacoats, trench costs or fleeces, well fitting dress pants, skirts and jeans in black and white and blouses instead of shirts, cardigans, and nothing puts an outfit together better than nice, matching panties and bras. even though no one can see it, it gives an odd boost of confidence, at least for me :)

Sarah's idea is great. I always assume someone is younger if I see them wearing name brands. I don't know why.

I'd say something that I've done is get rid of anything that's got a logo so avoid buying from places like hollister as they are very teen. I have started to save up for more expensive wardrobe staples from better brands that you can mix and match. I like men's tshirts rolled up from Albam, The Kooples. Zara is a great place to start too and really inexpensive. I tend to gravitate towards their tailored shorts/skirts and nice qualitity casual tops. I avoid the teen TRF range though. I think having nicer quality garments makes you look more mature. I save up and make investments in Jeffrey Campbell shoes and leather handbags bags as they last much longer. Xxx

Def shop at target like the other girls said or even wal mart has some real cute stuff for cheap! And if you have a dds discounts go there to pick out some good outfits for good prices. And as your shopping just choose what you like and match up, those stores always have cute trends going on anyway

So I wanna buy clothes from the women's section not the juniors?
May 27, 2013
Erin M.
If the juniors section fits you then there's no problem, its picking the clothing from that section. I can honestly wear my 10 year old cousins clothes when I need to. If you can fit into both women's clothing and juniors clothing shift through both sections and see what you can find, juniors clothing is normally cheaper and now a days doesn't look like what a 12 year old middle schooler would wear.

If you shop the spots I wrote down you won't have to worry about the sections, there's pretty much a section for younger women and a section for older women like 50s in target just shop on the younger women side, and as for the other stores pretty much the samething, you can't go wrong in any of them they all got cute stuff : )
